Identification

At Providence Therapy a major priority for us is in the early identification and early treatment of developmental delays in children, especially those children who have delays that are unknown to parents and caregivers. If we both identify and treat delays at the preschool age we may eliminate the possibility of the delay becoming more severe and affecting the child in other areas as he or she matures. It is also much more effective to treat developmental delays during the early years then it is later on in childhood.

 

Occupational Therapy For Private Schools

Public Schools have occupational therapist on staff but private schools normally do not have the resources to hire an occupational therapist full time. Therefore parents of children that have known developmental delays are forced to seek therapy outside of school.  While children who have delays that are unknown to caregivers will normally not get identified at all.

Offering Occupational Therapy at school is a plus for parents because therapy can be done during the day while the child is at school, but most of is beneficial to children who have delays that otherwise may not have been identified. Parents can rest assured that their child is receiving proper screenings at school that will catch any developmental delays that may have been previously unidentified. 

Providence Therapy specializes in providing Pediatric Occupational Therapy services directly to schools. Since we bill the parents and their insurance provider, there is no cost to the school to have us providing Pediatric Occupational Therapy services.

Therefore you can offer and advertise skilled services that make your school even more competitive at no cost to your school.
