Early Identification

At Providence Therapy a major priority for us is in the early identification and early treatment of developmental delays in children, especially those children who have delays that are unknown to parents and caregivers. If we both identify and treat delays at the preschool age we may eliminate the possibility of the delay becoming more severe and affecting the child in other areas as he or she matures. It is also much more effective to treat developmental delays during the early years then it is later on in childhood.

Partnership in Child Development

We consider preschools our partners in identifying children early on. Therefore we offer free on premise Occupational Therapy screenings to preschools. This allows us to identify the children who may have developmental delays by screening the entire population, without singling out any specific children. In doing so we will also catch delays in children that may not have been previously identified by parents, teachers, or other caregivers.

Another service we offer preschools is Free Workshops for credit. Our workshops are centered around child development and specific developmental delays. The workshops will teach your staff such things as; what to look for, things they can do in the classroom, and knowing when is it time to recommend an Occupational Therapist. Having us perform treatments in the preschool

Parents who have children that need Occupational Therapy are looking for it to be done during the day while the child is at preschool. This way the child receives needed therapy and the parent or guardian does not have to take time off or rework their schedule, and then drive the child to and from therapy. Therefore providing Pediatric Occupational Therapy and screenings directly in preschool is extremely convenient for parents, gives them peace of mind, and is a service your preschool can use to differentiate itself from the other preschools.

Providence Therapy specializes in providing Pediatric Occupational Therapy services directly onsite at preschools. Since we bill the parents and their insurance provider, there is no cost to the preschool.

Therefore you can offer and advertise skilled services that differentiate your preschool from all the others at no cost.
