Visual Perception - A highly complex integrative activity involving the understanding of what is seen by the eyes. Visual Perception includes:
1. Spatial Relations - ability to orient one’s body in space and to perceive the position of objects in relation to oneself and other objects.
2. Visual discrimination - the ability to discriminate dominant features of different objects. Ex. position, shapes, forms, colors
3. Figure - Ground ability to distinguish an object from background objects
4. Visual closure - ability to perceive a whole figure when only fragments are presented
5. Visual Memory - ability to recognize one stimulus item after a brief interval
